I am not a life coach and whilst I extol the virtues of visualisation to achieve goals – this is not the visualisation I am writing about today.
In order to market digitally to a particular consumer group you have to get inside their heads and understand their online activity habits, it may take considerable research to arrive at an engagement and Authority Marketing Strategy, but you need to do it if you are to arrive at a meaningful Digital Authority Marketing Strategy.
Digital Authority Marketing
You already have the products or services which your prospects want and need, trouble is they are possibly buying more from your competitors than you.
In the recent past the winners of this game were the ones with the biggest budgets, the ones who could pay for the most/best advertising to gain substantially more exposure than the rest.
Social Media has changed the rules and today consumers stick two fingers up at aggressive push advertising and instead turn to Google and search for what they want and then read reviews and trust peer recommendations.
Strategically then; your goal is to be the business with the authority in your category so that your products are the ones that peers recommend and aspire to. This is where Social Media allows David to beat Goliath at his own game or at least to stay meaningfully in the fight.
The Key to Social Media Success
The key then to Social Media success is understanding your consumers and then engaging them in conversation without selling – as you can imagine this does take considerable time, effort and knowledge and yes, you will need to invest in training and online resources, but at least these are affordable to all serious enterprises.
Creating the Desire for the Consumer to Buy
Once we have figured out where our consumers hang out and how they use technology we need to prepare content which they will find organically, this means clever – integrity based – content writing in enough volume to be found by your prospects and this means knowing what they search for and how they type their searches into the search engines.
Which leads us back to our post title Digital Marketing Visualisation – the Key to Social Media Success because if we can visualise what they search for and what questions they ask, then we can create content around those searches with a view not only to winning more traffic to our website than the competition but by winning the hearts and minds of our prospects by engaging with them and answering their questions and allaying their fears.
Hopefully I have been able to articulate my thoughts with a view to winning your trust and respect and if that’s the case click the Tweet button below to help me build my authority.
