“Organic” Search Engine Optimisation, technically termed “Algorithmic” Search Engine Optimisation is the method an SEO uses to organise content and meta-data on a website or other online resource in line with best practice Search Engine Optimisation techniques in order to gain high UN-paid listings on the search engines search results pages (SERPS).
Explained Simply – Google, Bing and Yahoo are search engines. When we search for something online the search engines scan their indexes for information that they have previously stored which most closely matches the search term we typed. Then the search engine presents around 1000 website pages on the computer browser in order of relevant importance.
Search Engine Algorithm
Search engines like Google have an algorithm which scans almost every website page (and other information/data) on the internet. Intelligently, the algorithm, more commonly called the “spider” or the “Google Bot” reads each page or piece of information and then places that information in their “index” which is like a very big filling cabinet. The algorithm remembers where in the index all of this information is stored.
